1 full day at the Ski resort of Kabdalis, where you can learn to ski or snowboard with the expert tuition of one of our fully qualified instructors. More experienced skiers and boarders can take advantage of the range of slopes. The northern lights are visible here and it is possible to be skiing whilst they are active. All equipment provided.

1 full day snowmobiling, after learning the basics in the grounds of the house we will ride out into the forest over the top of the valley and take lunch on a frozen lake before winding our way home again over frozen marshes and back down into the valley. As the day progresses we will stop occasionally to discuss some basic survival techniques. With some luck, in the evening, on the ride home we might glimpse the northern lights.

1 day Jokkmokk, on this packed day we will drive to the capital of Lapland, Jokkmokk, crossing the Arctic Circle as we go. (With a perfect chance for a photo at the sign on the line!) Once in Jokkmokk we will visit the Saami museum to learn about the culture and life of the, pre-european, Saami people who still inhabit the area. We then take a tour of their autonomous parliament building. After eating lunch at one of the local restaurants you can explore the rest of the town. In the afternoon we take a tour around the surrounding forests looking at the damns that supply the area's electricity and searching for local animals. We have previously seen Moose, Reindeer, Golden Eagles and Lynx. The elusive Wolverine is very occasionally known to have ventured close to the village. It is possible to book a supplementary activity during this day, they range from 1-3 hours, we can arrange complimentary transport for this too, see below for more details.
